Understanding Lamp Controls and Modes

Controls depend on the exact version, not the brand name alone.

Current Floating Jellyfish Lamp#

The current Standard version uses the physical button and offers soft-yellow lighting or automatically changing colors. The current Wireless Remote version supports on/off, color selection, brightness, lighting effects and tentacle movement control through the remote.

Use the manual included with that version for the button sequence. Do not invent sound sensitivity controls, a continuous-on setting or a timer value.

Older sound-activated lamps#

Some customers own an older sound-activated version. Do not apply its named modes or timing to today's Standard or Wireless Remote version, and do not assert that a reversed mode is normal without documentation for that exact version. Identify the version from information already supplied and check its own manual before advising.

If sound activation is unwanted, acknowledge the interruption and the customer's choice. Offer to check for a documented non-sound-activated mode if they would like help. Do not assume abandoning sound mode resolves their dissatisfaction or guarantee that another mode exists.
