Will my wooden palette stain or get moldy?

Our wooden palette is made from real walnut wood, so a little care will help keep it in great condition for a long time! 💙

Will my palette stain?

Some light color staining is completely normal with regular use and won't affect your painting.

When changing colors, simply wipe the palette wells with a damp tissue or soft cloth before adding new paint.

How do I clean my wooden palette?

  • Wipe gently: Use a damp tissue or soft cloth to remove excess paint.

  • Avoid soaking: Never soak your palette in water or rinse it under running water, as excess moisture can cause the wood to swell or warp.

  • Let it air out: If your palette gets wet, leave it open for a little while to allow excess moisture to evaporate.

  • Store properly: Make sure the wooden palette is dry before storing it for an extended period.

Can I close my palette while the paint is still damp?

Yes! It's fine to close your palette while the paint is still slightly damp. Just avoid leaving excess water sitting in the wells.

How can I prevent mold?

To help prevent mold, avoid soaking your palette or storing it while the wood is wet. Keep it in a dry place and allow it to air out after cleaning.

With a little care, your wooden palette can stay ready for many happy painting sessions! 🎨
