Overview
The first officially licensed Xbox controller to feature Hall Effect sticks, Hall Effect triggers with hair-trigger mode, four programmable back buttons, and full customization via companion software. It works wired with Xbox consoles and wirelessly with PC and phones.

Swapping Covers and Spare Parts

The box includes two D-pads with different shapes; thumbstick caps and the D-pad can be replaced as shown in the accessory replacement guide in the official manual.

Connection and Operation
Powering On/Off and Pairing

Connecting to PC
There are two ways for PC: cable or 2.4GHz wireless receiver.
- Wired Connection: Use the included Type-C cable to connect the controller to the PC, then short press the logo button to power it on. A steady logo button light indicates a successful connection.
- Receiver Connection: Insert the receiver into a PC port.
- Slide the mode switch on the back of the controller to 2.4GHz mode, then short press the logo button to power it on and wait for the connection.

The storage compartment for the receiver is in the charging dock.
Connecting to Android Devices via Bluetooth
- Slide the mode switch on the back of the controller to Bluetooth mode, then short press the logo button to power it on.
- Open the Bluetooth menu on the phone, search for the device named "GameSir-G7 Pro," and tap it to connect.
- A steady logo button light indicates a successful connection.
- If pairing fails, hold the pairing button on the controller to return to pairing mode.
Connecting to Xbox
- Use the included Type-C cable to connect the controller to the Xbox, then short press the logo button to power it on.

Programming Extra Buttons
There are four extra buttons: back buttons R4/L4 and shoulder buttons R5/L5. They have no default values until programmed.
- Hold the M button and the extra button you want to program; the logo button indicator will blink slowly.
- Press the button whose function you want to map to the extra button; the indicator will return to steady, indicating the value is saved.
- To clear an extra button value: Enter setup mode in the same way, then press the corresponding extra button; its value will be cleared.
- Back button locking is available via the lock switches on the back of the controller, used to disable them and prevent accidental presses.
Volume Control and Mic Mute
- Hold the M button + D-pad Up/Down to increase/decrease master volume (11 levels). You will hear a tone at the max/min level. This requires a headset connected.
- Hold the M button + D-pad Right/Left to adjust the Game/Chat audio mix. A tone sounds at max, mid, and min levels. This feature works on Xbox only.
- Press the Mic Mute button to activate; the indicator turns steady red. Press again to disable; the indicator turns off (default state).
- While muted, hold the M button to temporarily unmute. Releasing the button resumes muting.
Trigger Gear and Rapid Trigger Mode
On the back of the controller are gear switches for RT and LT, toggling between full analog mode and clicky button mode.
To toggle Rapid Trigger Mode, hold the M button + LT or RT trigger for two seconds.
If a trigger gives full input upon touch, check if Rapid Trigger Mode was activated accidentally and disable it with the same combination.
Calibration
Stick and Trigger Calibration
- Set the trigger to analog mode first.
- Hold the View button + Logo button + Menu button until the logo button indicator blinks slowly.
- Ensure the LT/RT triggers and sticks are untouched, then press the A button; the logo button indicator will turn off.
- Press LT/RT to their maximum travel three times, rotate the sticks to their maximum angle three times, then press the A button. A steady indicator means calibration is complete.
Reset
- For a forced hardware reset: Use a thin tool like a paperclip to press the reset button inside the circular hole on the back of the controller. This forces a power-off and is used when the device fails to turn on or off.
- To reset functions and clear all profiles and settings: The official FAQ page mentions holding the View button + Mode switch + Menu button until the logo button indicator flashes three times.

Companion Software and Firmware Updates
- Download the GameSir Nexus app from the Microsoft Store on Xbox/PC or from the official website.
- Use the software to update firmware, adjust settings, set stick curves, and remap buttons.
- To enable 1000Hz polling rate on PC: Set the polling rate to 1000Hz, then close the app completely. The indicator will turn off and then on, indicating the controller has switched to the input mode appearing as "Xbox 360 Controller" in Windows.
- 1000Hz polling rate is unavailable on Xbox as the console imposes a 250Hz limit.
Charging and Battery
- The controller can be charged via the Type-C port or by placing it on the charging dock.
- When the battery drops below 15%, the logo button indicator flashes red.
- In 2.4GHz or Bluetooth mode, the controller enters standby mode after 10 minutes of inactivity.
- All GameSir controllers have overcharge protection; charging stops automatically when full.
