Do I need the Artist Brush Set?
Not necessarily!
Our standard Watercolor Kit already includes a refillable water brush, which is suitable for getting started with watercolor painting.
The Artist Brush Set may be a good addition if you:
-
Want more brush sizes and shapes for different painting techniques.
-
Enjoy experimenting with detailed artwork and broader brushstrokes.
-
Prefer using traditional paintbrushes while painting at home.
-
Want additional brushes for your watercolor painting supplies.
What's the difference between a water brush and an artist brush?
A water brush has a refillable handle that holds water, allowing you to paint without constantly dipping your brush into a separate water container.
Traditional artist brushes don't have built-in water reservoirs, so you'll need a cup of clean water to wet and rinse them during painting.
How should I care for my artist brushes?
To help maintain your brushes:
-
Rinse them gently with clean water after each painting session.
-
Remove any remaining watercolor paint from the bristles.
-
Gently reshape the bristles while they're still damp.
-
Allow the brushes to air-dry before storing them.
Avoid pulling or bending the bristles excessively.
