How do I measure my ring size at home?

Last updated on May 28, 2026

Two easy methods you can do right now with things around the house:

Method 1 — String or paper strip

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string

  2. Wrap it around the base of the finger you want to wear the ring on

  3. Mark the point where it overlaps

  4. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres with a ruler — this is your circumference

  5. Match it to our size chart to find your size

Method 2 — Existing ring

  1. Find a ring that already fits well on the correct finger

  2. Place it on a ruler and measure the internal diameter (inside edge to inside edge) in millimetres

  3. Match that measurement to our size chart

Tips for accuracy:

  • Measure at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest

  • Measure 2–3 times and go with the consistent reading

  • Have someone help if you can — it's easier to mark the string accurately with two people

  • Cold fingers = smaller; warm fingers = slightly larger. Room temperature is ideal
