How to Place an IKEA Project Order (Kitchens, Wardrobes & Large Projects)

If you've designed a kitchen, wardrobe, or other large project using IKEA's online planning tools, you can order everything through Maltashopper and have it delivered to Malta. The prices on our website are the same as what you'll see — our margin is already included, with no extra percentage fee on top.

Step 1: Design Your Project on IKEA's Website

Use one of IKEA's free planning tools to design your project:

Once your design is complete, click "Finalizza" (Finalise) to generate the full list of individual products and quantities that make up your project.

Step 2: Place Your Order on Maltashopper

You cannot import an IKEA project code directly into our website. Instead, you'll need to:

  1. Take note of each individual product code and quantity from your finalised IKEA project
  2. Search for each item on maltashopper.com using the article number (remove the dots — for example, 802.468.65 becomes 80246865)
  3. Add each item to your cart with the correct quantity
  4. Choose delivery or collection at checkout, and complete your payment

If you need help transferring your project list to an order, email us at sales@maltashopper.com with your IKEA project code and we can assist.

Step 3: Assembly (Optional)

We offer professional assembly services for IKEA furniture, including kitchens and wardrobes. Assembly is quoted based on the items in your paid order. Once you've placed your order, email sales@maltashopper.com with your order number to request an assembly quote.

Delivery Timeframes for Project Orders

  • Items in stock at IKEA Catania: 5–14 working days to arrive at our warehouse
  • Items sourced from IKEA's Piacenza logistics centre: up to 5 weeks

Large project orders may arrive in multiple shipments. We'll keep you updated as items arrive and coordinate delivery once everything is ready.

Design Assistance

Maltashopper offers a paid design service (€58) to help you plan kitchens, walk-in wardrobes, laundry rooms, and living spaces using IKEA's planning tools. Consultations take place at our Santa Venera office (Mon–Fri, 08:00–15:30). For more details, visit our personalised design solutions page.

Important Notes

  • Project orders that include custom or made-to-measure items (such as kitchen worktops cut to size) cannot be cancelled or returned
  • If any items in your project are out of stock, we'll notify you and discuss alternatives
  • If you'd like to know what assembly would cost before ordering, email us your IKEA project code and we'll give you an estimate
