Yes. KURK funds its own research rather than relying on an ingredient supplier's studies. We have won two Innovate UK grants (Innovate UK is the UK government's innovation agency), both in partnership with Swansea University Medical School. This includes a Knowledge Transfer Partnership, which places a Swansea researcher in our own laboratory to study how our micelles form and how they behave in the body's cells. The work is ongoing, and Nutraceutical Business Review covered it in May 2026.
We make KURK in our own ISO 22000:2018 certified laboratory in London and test every batch for heavy metals. KURK is micellar curcumin made without synthetic emulsifiers or black pepper. Micellar curcumin has been shown to raise blood levels up to 185x compared with native curcumin (Schiborr et al., 2014).
KURK is a food supplement, not a medicine. If you have a medical condition or take medication, please check with your doctor first.
