What Enode Pro measures for each type of movement, and the three ways it can show that back to you during a set. Plus feedback training, for when you want live numbers with no session behind them.

Training modes

The sensor is configured per exercise with a training mode. The mode matches how the movement should be measured and decides which metrics each rep produces. The app sets the mode from the exercise automatically, so you train and it measures.

Mode For
Strength Squats, presses and pulls: general barbell, dumbbell, machine and bodyweight strength work
Weightlifting Snatch, clean and jerk, and their derivatives
Flywheel Iso-inertial training on flywheel devices
Jump squat, counter-movement jump, drop jump Jump testing and reactive-strength work

What each mode measures per rep

Strength and weightlifting: duration, distance, mean velocity, mean propulsive velocity, velocity of movement, peak velocity, peak power, and peak rate of force development.

Flywheel: duration, distance, mean and peak velocity, mean and peak power, and mean and peak force.

Jumps: duration, jump height, peak velocity, peak rate of force development, and peak power. Counter-movement and squat jumps add RSI-mod, and drop jumps add RSI and contact time.

Eccentric phase: where eccentric tracking applies, each rep also carries the lowering phase's duration, distance, mean and peak velocity, and peak rate of force development.

The focus metric

Each exercise has one headline number, the focus metric, chosen to fit the movement: 1RM for strength work, peak force on a flywheel, jump height for jumps. Live feedback, spoken rep callouts and session summaries all centre on it. Change which metric headlines an exercise group under Settings → Focus metrics, or per exercise from the tracking view's options menu.

Beyond the numbers on screen

Every rep is recorded as a full movement trace, not just summary numbers. That is what powers bar path, phase breakdowns and the technique charts in Insights, and it means a rep can be re-examined after the session in The Portal.

Feedback modes

The feedback mode decides what the athlete-facing part of the tracking view shows during a set. Change it in the tracking view's options menu. The app remembers your choice per exercise group, so squats can run one mode and jumps another.

Metric shows a grid of the exercise's key numbers: the latest value for each metric and how far it has dropped from the set's best. This is the classic velocity-based training view, ideal when athletes are chasing a bar-speed target.

Muscle quality shows what the set is producing rather than single numbers. A stimulus ring splits the set's work into power, hypertrophy and strength, a ranked list shows which quality is leading, a set capacity bar shows how much of the set's productive capacity has been used, and a per-rep chart tracks the trend across the set. Use this when the goal is a training quality rather than a number, or to show an athlete why a set ends before grinding reps set in.

Technique shows the movement itself: bar path from the side and from the front, two headline metrics of your choice, and a combined velocity and acceleration chart. Use this for technical lifts and rehab work where the shape of the movement matters as much as its speed. For deeper after-set analysis, open Insights from the tracking view.

Spoken rep feedback

With voice feedback on, the app reads each rep's headline value aloud the moment the rep completes, for example "0.45 metres per second". The athlete hears their number without looking at a screen, and you coach with your eyes on the bar rather than the tablet.

The unit is spoken on the first rep of a set, then only the numbers, so callouts stay short. Speech follows the app's language setting, and on iPhone the silent switch is respected. Speaking never delays a rep, since the number on screen is always immediate.

Turn it on from the tracking view's options menu with Voice feedback. The setting is remembered.

Voice feedback works when a single station is running. With several stations open on a tablet it is off, because overlapping callouts from three stations would be noise rather than feedback.

No sound? Check the device volume and, on iPhone, the silent switch. Then check voice feedback is enabled in the options menu of the exercise you are tracking, and that only one station is open.

Feedback training: sensor-only sessions

Sometimes you want numbers on a screen and nothing else. An athlete drops in for a quick jump test, you demo the sensor to a colleague, or you want live bar speed on a warm-up.

Feedback training is a training flow with no workout behind it. Pick a feedback mode, connect a sensor, and train. Reps and sets appear live exactly as in a normal session, with the newest set on top. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored, so when you leave, the numbers are gone. That is the point: no admin and no cleanup.

Start one from an empty station by choosing Feedback training, picking the mode that fits the movement, then connecting a sensor.

Feedback mode is unlimited on every plan and costs no station. Just make sure the device is set top feedback only mode by tapping Manage stations in the side menu and selecting 'Feedback only'.

Feedback training works even when all of the device's recording slots are in use, because it never records, and each station can run its own. Need the data after all? Run the movement as a normal session, or add it afterwards with Logging sets and past workouts by hand.
