How to Clear Data and Cache of Netflix

For Smartphones and Tablets (Android Devices)

Using the Netflix App:

  1. Open your device’s Settings.

  2. Tap Apps or Application Manager.

  3. Find and select Netflix.

  4. Tap Storage.

  5. Choose Clear Cache to remove temporary files.
    To fully reset the app, tap Clear Data—note this will erase all settings and account info.

Using a Browser:

  1. Open your browser app.

  2. Go to Settings > Privacy or Storage.

  3. Select Clear browsing data or Clear cache.

  4. Choose to clear both cache and cookies.


For Smartphones and Tablets (iOS Devices)

Using the Netflix App:

  • iOS does not allow clearing app cache directly.
    To fix issues, uninstall and reinstall the app:

    1. Go to Settings > General > iPhone/iPad Storage.

    2. Find Netflix, tap Delete App, then reinstall it from the App Store.

Using Safari:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Scroll down and tap Safari.

  3. Select Clear History and Website Data.


For Laptops (Windows Systems)

Clearing Cache in Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click the three-dot menu > More tools > Clear browsing data.

  3. Check Cached images and files, then click Clear data.


For Laptops (MacOS Systems)

Clearing Cache in Safari:

  1. Open Safari.

  2. In the menu bar, click Safari > Clear History.

  3. Choose the time range and confirm to clear history and cache.
