How to Install the TurboSpa

How to install the aquabliss TurboSpa shower head Installing your TurboSpa takes under 5 minutes and requires no specialist tools. See our installation video here Step 1 — Remove your existing shower head Grip your current shower head firmly and turn it counter-clockwise until it comes away from the shower arm. Most shower heads can be removed by hand, but if yours is stiff or heavily scaled, use a wrench for extra leverage. Wrap a cloth around the fitting first to protect the finish. Step 2 — Clean the shower arm threads Before fitting the new shower head, clear any old plumber's tape, mineral deposits, or debris from the shower arm threads. A dry cloth usually does the job — use fine steel wool for stubborn buildup. Clean threads make for a better seal and help prevent leaks. Once the threads are clean, wrap fresh plumber's tape around them 2–3 times, working in the same direction as the thread. This creates a watertight seal when the new shower head is fitted. Step 3 — Attach the TurboSpa shower head Thread the aquabliss TurboSpa onto the shower arm and hand-tighten it clockwise. Hand-tight is firm enough — avoid using tools on the final connection, as over-tightening can damage the fittings or crack the thread seal. Turn on the water to check for any leaks at the connection. If you see a small drip, add another layer of plumber's tape and reattach.

Adjusting the Angle of the TurboSpa

Adjusting the angle of your TurboSpa shower head Your TurboSpa shower head is fitted with a pivot ball joint that lets you direct the spray to exactly where you need it. Whether you prefer a straight-down rain effect or a more angled spray to reach different areas, the adjustment is quick and tool-free. To adjust the angle: firmly grasp the front face of the shower head with both hands and gently pivot it left, right, up or down until you find a position that works for you. Cleaning the TurboSpa

Cleaning the showerhead body To keep the TurboSpa looking its best, gently wipe the outer surface with a damp cloth after use, then dry with a soft towel. Avoid harsh, abrasive cleaning products or chemical polishes — these can damage the finish over time and are not needed for routine care. Cleaning the water jets The TurboSpa features rub-clean water jets, which are designed for easy maintenance without tools. To clean them, use your finger or a soft cloth to gently move each water jet from side to side. This motion clears any mineral residue sitting in and around the jet nozzles. If you have significant scale buildup — common in hard water areas — rub the jets while the water is running. The combination of movement and water flow helps to dislodge any stubborn deposits. Repeat as needed until the jets are running freely again.

Leak between TurboSpa and Shower Arm

Fixing a leak between the TurboSpa and the shower arm A leak at this connection almost always comes down to the internal washer — either it has shifted out of place during installation, or it isn't sitting flat enough to create a proper seal. This is a straightforward fix that takes just a few minutes. Step 1 — Check and reseat the washer Remove the TurboSpa from the shower arm by turning it counter-clockwise. Look inside the connection nut and check the rubber washer. It should be sitting STRAIGHT and FLAT against the inside of the connection. If it has shifted or curled at the edges, use a screwdriver or pen to gently press the edges back down until it sits flush. Reattach the shower head and test. Step 2 — Flip the washer If the leak continues after reseating, the washer surface may be slightly worn on one side. Use a screwdriver to remove it from the connection nut, flip it over so the other face is forward, and reseat it flat. Reattach and test again. Step 3 — Apply plumber's tape For a persistent small leak, wrap plumber's tape around the shower arm threads — 3 to 4 layers, applied in the direction of the thread. The tape fills microscopic gaps in the thread and creates an additional seal. Reattach the TurboSpa hand-tight and test. This usually resolves any remaining drip.
